Week 4: Reflection#2

1. What is the song all about? Give support to your answers by citing specific lines/lyrics from the song. Overall, the song is all about prioritizing self-love. This can be drawn from the lines, "Pag-ibig muna, para sa akin" and "Ako muna." The song also tells us that it is better to be alone in order to truly find or know yourself first. This is supported by the lines, "Mabuti nang mag-isa, Nang makilala ko muna ang sarili." The song also showed the idea of loving yourself first before others and this can be seen from the lines, "Paano ko magmamahal, Kung 'di ko kayang mahalin ako."  2. Share your insights, realizations and learnings on the discussion forum after reflecting on this song.  Self-love is a must. As simple as it is, others seem to forget or neglect from doing so. They tend to prioritize their partner or the other person in the relationship over themselves. As a result, they are left empty and may even lead in ending the said re

Week 4: Discussion#4

1. What triggered the behavior of Eric? Eric's lack of trust, excessive jealousy, and insecurities triggers him in his conflicts with Shirley and her peers. He may think that all of Shirley's male associates have ulterior motives, leading him to always resort to physical violence. He always wants to make sure that Shirley is never with them. Although the information shown in the scenarios within the video are insufficient. The reason for Eric's lack of trust that always triggers him is still unknown. 2. "Lumiit yung mundo ko... parang unti-unting sumikip... nakulong ako sa kaming 2 lang..." What does this mean? Why did the girl say this? Shirley's quote was the result of an abusive and a controlling partner. The quote means that her ability to socially interact with other people is now limited to just the both of them due to his partner's toxicity. She was pent up with her partner's excessive jealousy and lack of trust. She was sick of her partne

Week 4: Activity#2

Give your reflection on this topic by accomplishing the “My Reflection” activity. MY REFLECTION Based on the topic, I have learned that mini-survey may help me in gathering in specific information for a specific topic. Specifically, it can help me in designing a research plan, assessing the feasibility of a project, getting reactions from beneficiaries, and evaluating a project. Also, it can help in lessening the amount of effort in gathering information since the questions are usually closed rather than open-ended. It can also lessen the amount of time that will be used since there are fewer respondents. Moreover, it can help me in getting more relevant information since the questions are designed to only choose from a small set of alternative answers, rather that inviting a freely expanded comment. I can do mini-survey by following the steps stated in the learning module. First, I have to clarify my objectives by determining what I want to find out about, the technique to ge

Week 3: Reflection#1

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS: (answer in 5-10 sentences per question) 1. What is the song all about? What are the main parts/messages of the song that give the story? Explain and give supporting statements found in the lyrics/message. The main parts that gives the story or the message of the song are in the chorus. These are the lines, “Never mind, I'll find someone like you.” It tells a sad story about a person who is having a hard time moving on from her recent relationship while her past partner is already living a great life. This is supported by the lines, “I heard that you're settled down, That you found a girl and you're married now, I heard that your dreams came true.” Along with the line, "Only yesterday was the time of our lives.", this shows how the person is having a hard time accepting how their once joyful and fruitful days are now gone. Now, the person is struggling to find happiness once again, as she tries to find another person just like her recent partn

Week 3: Activity#1

Activity 1 .  My organization. Which organizations involving you in our society? (church group, singing/ dance group, community group, youth group, club, school organization, neighborhood association, volunteer group. etc) Name of Organization Type of Organization Role in the Organization YES-O School Club President   Process Questions: 1. After doing the activity, what have you realized? I have realized that besides having the title of being a leader, it also has a lot of responsibilities with it. Aside from the usual tasks given to the group, leaders should also be competent, doing more than what they were obligated to do. With this, the followers or the members can have a role model that they can look up to. This may even serve as an inspiration for them to be a leader someday, to do even more than what their leader could have ever done. Thus, this preserves the trend of the increase and improvement of produc

Commitment is an important key to a long-term relationship. It gives both partners a sense of security and stability for the relationship. It is an agreement of mutual understanding and cooperation that is always growing. It makes both partners feel their loyalty for each other and enables them to realize that they have a foreseeable future together. It is the factor why and how they are able to be there and remain faithful to each other specially on the toughest of times. It may seem as a simple word but it is a set of decisions, promises, and actions that one continues to keep and do in order to sustain and prolong a healthy and nurturing relationship. 2. Week 3: Discussion#3_2 (Relationships)

Based on the discussions about relationship, if you were the guy (best friend) in the video, do you think it is worth it to stay in the relationship? I am a straightforward and an honest person. If I am attracted to someone, I let them know. So, if I were the guy in the video, I would not be satisfied by being just a friend knowing that I have other motives. If I were him, I would have already told her that I liked her because that is how I am. This may seem a bit selfish, but I would have risked the friendship that we had since I will make sure that we would be happier than we were before.

Week 2: Discussion#2

How do you show your attraction, love and commitment to your loved ones?  Enumerate each and explain. As stated in the given learning module, expressing our attraction, love, and commitment varies depending on the person. However, there are some similar and general ways that I show these to each of my loved ones. To show my attraction, love, and commitment to others, I give them my undivided attention when I am talking or interacting with them. I maintain honesty whenever I am communicating with them or expressing my thoughts, feelings, and opinions to them. Also, I always try to make sure that they never feel hurt and unsafe, and make them feel special and protected.

1. What are acceptable ways of public display of affection?  What should or should not be done in public? For adults, there are some acceptable public displays of affections and these include hand-holding and short hugs and kisses for greetings and farewells. Wrapping your arms over someone's shoulders can also be acceptable depending on your location. As seen on the video, it is unacceptable in staircases or escalators since it affects others who are walking or passing through it. Other unacceptable public displays of affection include long and drawn-out hugs and kisses, touching someone on private areas, and using embarrassing nicknames and complements. A good thing to remember is always assess your current location and environment, and acknowledge who you are with. 2.  If you are in that situation how would you react? If I am only close to one of them, I would probably be uncomfortable and awkward with what the current situation. Although, If I were close friends with the two of
